2 tablespoons vegetable oil to coat baking sheet.
1 med. onion, minced
8 oz. diced bacon
2 pounds ground beef
6 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup bread crumbs
3 eggs slightly beaten
2 tsp. salt
Preheat oven to 450° F ( you Aussies are on your own. I don’t know grams or celsius)
Brush cookie sheet with oil. Sauté bacon and onion. Drain on paper towels. Mix all ingredients and shape into golf-ball sized meatballs. The recipe makes about 24. Bake on cookie sheet for about 20 minutes. Serve with a bowl of your favorite BBQ sauce for dipping. YUM!
